HDFC-ICFAI Tieup

ICFAI Business School and HDFC Bank have decided to jointly introduce a certificate program (elective) for the students of the regular MBA program (second year students). This will be a "Joint Certification Program in Relationship Management". HDFC Bank aims to support the program for advancement of Academic and Business Exchanges.

The Bank will bring in the industry experience through faculty support and course development, as also case studies developed for this program. HDFC Bank today has a widespread network of branches in over 300 cities and this experience and practical knowledge of its people will be put forward in the program. This certification program would be of 1 month duration (from 16th August, 2007 to 16th September, 2007 ).

The classes for this program will be held in the campus only, within your regular schedule of classes. The subject matter shall be covered jointly by ICFAI Faculty as well as the HDFC Bank professionals. Experts from respective fields will come from Mumbai (HDFC Bank). No fees will be charged for this program.

IBSAT 2007 - ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test

IBSAT 2007 - The Test

IBSAT® 2007, the Common Aptitude Test for the Programs of Icfai Business School (IBS) namely the 2-year MBA Program at all campuses and the 1-year Executive PG Program at Hyderabad.

IBSAT® : IBSAT® is based on GMAT® format with multiple choice questions and tests the applicant’s abilities in quantitative techniques, data adequacy, vocabulary, writing skills, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension.

Eligibility for IBSAT 2007

For MBA Program (2008-10)

A bachelor’s degree from any discipline, with 50% and above aggregate marks.

For Executive PG Program (2008-09)

A bachelor’s degree from any discipline, with 50% and above aggregate marks with 3 years or more of executive level work experience after graduation. Age should be more than 25 years as on April 01, 2008 .

Students in their final year bachelor’s degree course are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements including practical examinations/viva/assignments before April 30, 2008. Such applicants will have to produce a certificate to that effect at the time of admission. For any extension of this deadline, the applicants should apply separately, giving the schedule of their graduation examination. Extension may be granted on the basis of the circumstances of the case. The admission of applicants will, however, remain provisional until they produce marksheets and a degree certificate establishing their eligibility. The last date for submitting the proof of graduation transcripts is October 01, 2008, failing which the provisional admission will automatically stand cancelled.

Selection Process

The selection process comprises of IBSAT® and interviews. Applicants are required to appear and qualify the IBSAT® 2007. Alternatively, GMAT® scores are also accepted by IBS. The GMAT® code number of IBS is 7061. The applicants short-listed on the basis of their performance in the IBSAT® 2007/GMAT® score are called for the interviews. The students shortlisted for interviews will be supplied with a copy of the prospectus and the application material.

Last Date for Application

The last date for receipt of completed OMR Application Form is November 20, 2007.

All applicants are advised to adhere to the last date prescribed for the submission of the application form so that necessary arrangements can be made for conducting IBSAT® 2007. Please submit the Application Form as early as possible to improve the chances of getting the test center of your choice.

Online Registration

Applicants interested in registering for the IBSAT® 2007 can fill up the online Registration Form available at www.ibsindia.org/ibsat and make payment of Rs.1,000 towards cost of IBSAT® 2007 Bulletin, using credit card (Visa/MasterCard/Citibank Card) through secure internet payment gateway and the Bulletin will be sent to them.

Applicants registering online should attach their scanned color photograph along with the online application.
